Adorable DIY Dust Sign

I love the idea of making fun of the fact that housework is such a nightmare. It’s nice to take the time and laugh about our chores rather than suffer through it without a smile. My best friend has the same sense of humour as me so I created this adorable sign for house.

I found the wooden canvas at Dollarama of course because they have awesome craft supplies. 

I used this image to create the vinyl cutout on my Cricut Explore Air 2. 

Using permanent matte vinyl I cut the image and then started weeding it. 

Using transfer paper also bought at Dollarama because it has much better grip and is way cheaper than the Cricut stuff (sorry Cricut, needs improvement) 

I transferred the image onto the wooden canvas.

Using pigment powder from my resin crafts and some wood craft glue I spread out a solid border on the top and bottom of the canvas. 

Using a couple of colours that compliment each other and the vinyl I spread it across. I then used a nice bright orange to add some “dust” accents to the edges.

I can’t wait to surprise my friend with this adorable sign for her home.
