Incredible things to do in New York with kids

New York has a lot to offer, both to adults and kids. There is an endless array of different activities, great food, and places to visit. New York for sure should be on every family's to-visit list! Therefore, we have made a collection of the most incredible things to do in New York with kids!

The Ride NYC

We can't recommend this bus tour enough! There are many bus tours through New York, but this one is different. It's not your typical bus tour with a guide that talks through the entire time. The Ride is an interactive entertainment experience where the streets are the stage. They have ballet dancers, rappers, hip-hop dancers, and many more. The whole experience is filled with laughter and excitement! It is for sure one of the most incredible things to do in New York with kids!

Central Park

Central Park is the first public park in the US. Nestled in the middle of the busiest place in the world, Manhattan, Central Park offers a bit of peace and nature. In it, you can find a castle, boathouse, many playgrounds, and a zoo. It is a great place to let your kids run free and enjoy themselves!

Rockefeller Center

The Rockefeller Center is one of the most fun, family-friendly places to visit in New York. The famous area of Manhattan is home to many hit shows like SNL, The Today Show, and most of your beloved talk shows. There is also the fantastic Radio City Music Hall, the Channel Gardens, and many more! There are many restaurants and shops to stroll through, but make sure to visit the Lego store, where you will see the Lego version of New York City. The kids will also love NBC Studio Store, where they can see the props from many NBC shows.

The area around the Rockefeller Center is busy and energetic, and there are many great spots to sit and have some coffee or cake! It's inspiring in the evening as the lights turn it into something magical!

Empire State Building

The Empire State Building is located in the middle of Midtown Manhattan. Two observatories are open to visitors, and from them, you can see the entire New York City. Your kids will probably enjoy the views, but they will for sure want to look through the binoculars found in the observatories. They will be able to see both the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge. The best time to visit is late in the afternoon because the queues are the shortest then.

Statue of Liberty

This is simply a must. You have to see Lady Liberty! Skip the expensive tours, hop on the free Staten Island Ferry and enjoy the ride. It's important to teach your kids to save money, and this is a fantastic opportunity! The ferry runs 24 hours a day and goes right next to Lady Liberty. The statue was a gift from France to the US, dating back to the nineteenth century. So, it's an excellent history lesson as well as an amazing sight!

Once you experience a few of such places, you may be tempted to start browsing through Best Movers NYC searching for movers to relocate you here. And you wouldn’t be the only one. New York City is one of those places you always want to come back to.

Madame Tussaud’s

The famous wax museum features a lot of fun figures, from your beloved movie characters like ET and Marvel superheroes to your favourite actors and historical figures. There are many great photo opportunities and an amazing 4D theatre. You can easily spend the whole day in it, and it is for sure one of the most incredible things to do in New York with kids!

American Natural History Museum

If your kids have watched the Night at the Museum, this will probably be their favourite activity. The museum is packed with beautiful exhibitions ranging from dinosaurs to space shows. Since the museum is enormous, you should plan several hours in it. It is located across the street from Central Park, so after your visit, you could cross the street and enjoy the rest of your day at the park!

Times Square

Times Square is one of the most famous places in New York, and that's why it is on the list of incredible things to do in New York with kids. The famous square is now full of things to do and places to visit advertised to kids. There is a huge M&M store, many street performers dressed as cartoon characters, and many more. The most exciting places (for kids) will probably be the Disney Store and Hershey's Chocolate World. After all those sweets, make sure to take your kids to the dentist to be safe!

Moving to New York

Many people decide to move to New York after their visit. When moving to NYC, it is essential to find a reputable moving company. After you've done that, you should decide on whether you will rent or buy a house. If you decide on renting, check out related websites, and you will probably find your future home there. But if you decide on buying a house, there are more things to consider.

Buying a house during the pandemic is perhaps a tiny bit challenging. But the good news is you can do it online. That way, you will be safe, and you will probably get everything done a bit faster. You should purchase while the outbreak is still a threat because the prices are a bit lower. That way, you will save money that you can then invest in renovating or decorating your new place!

In conclusion

The Big Apple has a lot to offer, and there are certainly many incredible things to do in New York with kids. So, while you are there, you should do as much as possible. On the other hand, NYC is a place that will leave you wanting more, so you will probably visit it multiple times after your first visit.
